Message from DFA Executive

This is indeed a momentous occasion for the Daxina Football Association. For too long now we have failed in our mission to create structures for the promotion and running of football at the junior level. Fortunately for the DFA, a band o dedicated soccer mad officials have joined with the DFA to create and run the junior structure that will one day satisfy the dreams and ambitions of all soccer mad children in the greater Lenasia area.

To al clubs that have joined with us I hope that your stay will be fruitful, both from a honors as well as from a growth perspective.

Children, as you know develop difficulty and at different rates; they react differently to the same pressures, so please remember:

Children should not be forced participate in soccer

·         They are not playing to satisfy your ambitions

·         Children are involved in soccer for their

·         Always encourage your child to play by the rules

·         Teach your child that effort and teamwork are  important as victory, so that the result of each game is accepted without undo disappointment.

·         Never ridicule or shout at your child for making a mistake or loosing a competition

·         Children learn best example. Applaud good play by your team and the opposing team

·         Don’t publicly question any official’s decisions, and never hs or her honesty.

·         Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children’s soccer

·         Recognise the value and importance of coaches. They give their time and efforts to help your child.

·         Set an example by being friendly to the parents of the opposition!

·         Emphasise enjoyment and fun.

·         Praise effort as well as improvement

A thought to all spectators

He’s jus a boy

He stands on the field with his beating fast,

The whistle has blown; the die has been cast.

Mom and Dad cannot help him; he stands all alone,

A goal at this moment would send his team home.

The ball nears his feat; he kicks and he misses;

There’s a groan from the crowd, some boos and some hisses,

A thoughtless voice cries “Take off the bum”

Tears fill his eyes; the game’s no longer fun

If ever you’re tempted to shout or to groan

Remember, he’s a boy who stands alone;

So open your heat and give him a break,

For it’s moments like this a man you can make.

He’s jus a little boy, and not a man yet
