Zeeb Overseer:
Requirements: Nanotech level 10, Production level 16
- Adds 4x the repair rate to all ships. Example: if a ship has base repair rate of 5 per tick, the unique adds 20 points, giving a total repair of 25 per tick. The maximum amount repaired per tick is 6% of the hull strength.
- Affects all ships in the same fleet, at an efficiency of (uniques * 20 / fleetsize) * 100%. If there are more than 1 uniques for every 20 ships then efficiency is 100%.
- The overseer has huge penalties to speed and accuracy imposed on itself.
Starting Out
- Zeeb start by researching Production.
- Zeeb habs from starting greys are very far below average.
- They have an exceptionally strong economy (level 4 production, level 3 ore) from the start.
- Zeeb is one of the easier species to play, and offers a fairly rapid start.
- Faster starship construction allows you the opportunity to stockpile resources while teching, and then rapidly producing high-tech ships when under threat.
- Zeebs are exceptonally strong on the defense, because of being able to rapidly rebuild a fleet or build weapons platforms in the enemy's path.
Ideal Alliance Partners
- Ji: opposite hab, also fast starter. In combination a Ji and Zeeb can expand very rapidly, swapping planets for hab.
- Oomari: opposite hab, 2-tick travel. Although Oomari is a slow starter, planet swapping will help both species.
- Turian, Gorgoth, Shydow: opposite hab. Planet swapping will help all partners expand rapidly. Zeeb is also very resilient in combat (effective 5x repair rate with uniques), making any combination of these with a Zeeb very tough to take down.
Military
- The Zeeb overseer is essentially a mobile repair platform. Invaluable in minefields, on the offensive, and in defense. It is too slow though to traverse huge distances rapidly.
- Build ships with large hulls to maximise the repair rate.
- Never build more ships than necessary while teching. Rather stockpile resources and build your fleets when you have to. This way you can churn out ships on demand, and not waste unnecessary resources on low-tech ships.
