Description
1. Produces research points each game-turn.
2. Amount of research produced is influenced by researching the topic Researching.
3. Requires 5000 population each to staff the laboratory, or it runs at reduced efficiency.

Strategies
1. It is best to build laboratories on planets that have low ore percentage.
2. Many players build excessive amounts of labs early in the game, to get an early start on research, then replace their labs with factories during the latter stage of the game to boost production.
