Description
1. There are three resources to manage in Space: Ore, Production and Credits.
2. Everything that you build in the game will have a cost measured in Ore and Production, and a maintenance value or Upkeep value paid in credits.
3. Upkeep (an amount in credits) is deducted each tick. Should you have insufficient credits to pay the upkeep, the game will automatically sell off production points or ore at a penalty (worse than market discount).

Ore
1. Ore is the most expensive resource in the game.
2. On a bioformed planet, with sufficient pop (100% efficiency) and 100% ore, each ore-mine produces 10.4 units of ore per 24 hours at tech level 1, and this is increased by 0.4 units for each tech level you gain.
3. The amount of ore on a planet is a finite value, which stands a random chance of declining each tick. The random chance that it will decline is increased the more ore-mines you have on the planet, and decreased the higher your ore-mining technology level.
4. Ore may be sold for credits at the Toag market, at a fixed rate of 2.64 credits for 1 unit of ore.
5. Ore may be purchased with credits at the Toag Market, at a basic rate of 4.4 credits per unit of Ore. You can reduce the cost by researching economics. Only Toags can achieve a 40% discount to the price, meaning they can purchase ore at the same price for which it is sold. Gorgoth can achieve a 36% discount, and other species a 32% discount.
6. Shy'dow produce ore 10% faster than other species, and ore-depletion is also lower for Shy'dow.

Production
1. Production points are produced by factories.
2. On a bioformed planet, with sufficient population (100% efficiency), each factory produces 10.4 units of production per 24 hours at tech level 1, and this is increased by 0.4 units for each tech level you gain.
3. Production output is not influenced by ore percentage or any other factors not already mentioned.
4. Production points may be sold at the Toag Market for 1.74 credits each.
5. Production points may be purchased at the Toag Market for a base cost of 2.9 credits. You can get a discount on this cost by researching economics. Only Toags can achieve a discount of 40%, which will allow them to purchase production points for 1.74 credits. Gorgoth can achieve a maximum discount of 36%, and other species 32%.

Credits
1. Credits are 'produced' by megapolii, and you can essentially perceive it as a tax imposed on your citizens.
2. Citizens not employed in factories, ore-mines or laboratories engage in 'other business', which is taxed and yields a bonus to the credit income of your megapolii.
3. The amount of credits produced is increased by researching economics.
3. Toags produce 20% more credits per megapoli than other species.

Strategies
1. With 32% market discount, 1 production point buys 0.58 ore. This means, provided ore-tech and prod-tech are equal, it is more profitable to MINE planets with more than 58% ore.
2. With 36% market discount, 1 production point buys 0.62 ore. This means, provided ore-tech and prod-tech are equal, it is more profitable to MINE planets with more than 62% ore.
3. With 40% market discount, 1 production point buys 0.66 ore. This means, provided ore-tech and prod-tech are equal, it is more profitable to MINE planets with more than 66% ore.
4. Planets that are poor in ore may be used for factories, laboratories or other purposes.
5. Some players in the game strive for a 'balanced' economy, where they produce all the resources in equal measure.
6. Other players specialise in one resource over the others, but this is risky unless you can gain a very high technology level in the related topic.
7. It is worthwhile (for population-growth and credit income) to build some all-megapoli planets. The best planets for these are large, low-ore planets.
